FUJI Drum does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything you make — kits, patterns, shaders, samples — stays on your device, or in your own iCloud account, and nowhere else.
Introduction
FUJI Drum is made by Temperamento, a small independent studio (Juan Maguid), for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. This policy covers the FUJI app — the AUv3 plug-in and the standalone app, built from the same codebase.
Information Collection
Nothing. FUJI does not collect any personal information or usage data. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no device-identifier collection, no location tracking, no cookies, and no advertising ID.
This website is separate. These marketing pages use Google Analytics to count visits — page views, referrer, approximate region and browser, and it sets its own cookies. That is the website only; it is not connected to the app, and the app reports nothing to it. Beta builds are distributed through Apple's TestFlight, which is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
User Content
Shaders you import, samples you load, and kits and patterns you save stay exclusively on your device. FUJI is sandboxed and only reads a file when you explicitly pick it via the import panel, and only writes a file when you explicitly export or save one — nothing is uploaded anywhere, and nothing is shared with third parties.
iCloud Sync
FUJI can sync kits, the pattern bank, and custom shaders across your own devices using Apple's iCloud Documents. This is Apple's infrastructure, tied to your Apple ID — Temperamento has no access to it, no server sits in between, and it only moves data between devices signed into the same iCloud account.
Local Network & MIDI
Ableton Link syncs tempo and beat with other Link-enabled devices on the same local Wi-Fi network, using Apple's official LinkKit. It only ever broadcasts on your local network — no data leaves it, and nothing reaches Temperamento.
Bluetooth MIDI controllers connect directly to your device over standard MIDI (notes, CC, pitch bend) — a local, device-to-device link with nothing transmitted off-device.
Microphone
iOS requires microphone permission for the audio session that hosts FUJI's drum engine. FUJI does not record, store, or transmit microphone audio at any point.
Third-Party Services
No analytics, advertising, or data-collecting SDKs are integrated into FUJI. The app doesn't talk to any Temperamento server, because there isn't one.
Data Storage
Kits, patterns, settings, and preferences are stored using standard iOS/macOS app storage on your device (and, if you enable it, your own iCloud container). None of it is accessible to Temperamento.
Children's Privacy
Because FUJI collects no data at all, this applies equally to users of any age, including children under 13.
Policy Changes
Updates to this policy will appear on this page with a revised effective date. Given FUJI's no-collection approach, substantive changes are unlikely — but if the app's data practices ever change, this page will say so plainly.
